Winter is Missouri gets really cold! Soups and stews become a staple item this time of year. Cheddar Bay biscuits are great to have on the side with both.
Cheddar Bay Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups Bisquick Baking mix
- 4 tablespoons cold butter
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup cold milk
- 1/4 teaspooon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter. Don’t mix too thoroughly. There should be small chunks of butter that are about the size of peas. Add cheddar cheese, milk, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. Mix until just combined.Drop approximately 1/4 cup portions of the dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15-17 minutes or until the top of biscuits are light brown.Mix 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes in a small bowl and then use a pastry brush to brush on the top of the hot biscuits.
