Every holiday gives us an excuse to eat- and you can use sugar cookies to celebrate all holidays! One of the easiest ways to decorate sugar cookies is just to frost them, then an easy second step is to add sprinkles. Sprinkles make every cookie more festive!

Do you like Fruity Pebbles cereal? Frost your cookies, and then before the frosting sets, sprinkle some slightly crushed Fruity Pebbles cereal on the cookie. The cereal adds so much color and crunch!

You can also add dots of edible gold paint, along with the Fruity Pebbles, to add some sparkle. I also lightly brushed the shamrocks with a touch of the gold paint. You can add sprinkles, edible glitter and shamrocks too.

Would you like to create a watercolor effect on your cookies? Mix a small amount of food coloring with a small amount of almond extract (you can also use vodka – but I haven’t tried that), and blend together. Use a brush to “paint” watercolor strokes on top of the dry frosting. You can also add splatters for fun.

Something for everyone! Create a St. Patrick’s Day Cookie Tray to celebrate the holiday! Have Fun!!!
