I love fresh peaches! We recently went to Peter’s Market in Waverly and bought enough to freeze about 20 quarts, but I saved back a few to make peach cobbler and these Sweet Peach Muffins.

The streusel topping is made by mixing cinnamon, brown sugar, flour and rolled oats with cold butter. I added about 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg into the mixture and then sprinkled a bit of coarse sugar on top of the streusel.

This recipe makes 12 big bakery style muffins so I used large cupcake liners. These muffins are perfectly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg and are so moist and flavorful!

If you want, you can mix up a glaze with powdered sugar, a bit of milk and vanilla to drizzle over the top.

While the fresh peaches are in season, this is a wonderful recipe to try. Look at those peaches! This recipe has you leave the peel on the peaches for extra flavor and color. Enjoy!
