My little neighbor girls wanted to come over and bake cookies at our house, so I gathered together recipes, cookie ingredients, cookie cutters…and lots and lots of sprinkles!

We made Animal Cracker cookies first. The little Animal Cracker cookie cutters are so cute! They liked the giraffe and the little piggy the best. After they were baked and cooled, they put pink and purple icing on them and then added lots of sprinkles – of course!

On to Cherry Pop Tarts, we used refrigerated pie crusts and cherry pie filling to make it easy. We saved a bit of the glaze from the pie filling to add to the frosting to give it a pretty pink color and some extra flavor. Once they were baked and cooled – you guessed it – pink frosting and more sprinkles!

Sugar cookies are always fun to decorate, especially when you have unicorns, hearts and eyeballs.

We put the frosting and glazes that we used in squirt bottles so they were easy to use – and less mess too!

And of course, we had to make something out of chocolate! So we made jumbo chocolate muffins with lots and lots of chocolate chips!

Then to the playhouse for a tea party to sample their creations.

It was a beautiful summer day! While we were waiting for the cookies and muffins to bake and the pop tarts to cool, we went outside to play.

If you get to play in the sand and in the kitchen, then it is a good day!

The girls with all their goodies. They are just too cute – and they did an amazing job with their baking and decorating. Look at all the pink and purple frosting and all the sprinkles! Below are the links to the recipes that we used. Have fun!!!!
