We love Chocolate Crackle Cookies, but traditionally we only make them at Christmas. But then I noticed in the Fancy Flours catalog that they had colored powdered sugar, I had to order some to try!

You can purchase blue, yellow, green or pink powdered sugar.


now you have an excuse to make them for every holiday – or just for fun!
They are so good!
Chocolate Crackle Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup salad oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- With mixer, beat salad oil and sugar until well combined. Add eggs and vanilla. beat to ombine.
- Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt together and add to egg mixture. Mix just to combine. Chill mixture 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350 and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mat.
- Place about 1/2 cup of powdered sugar in shallow bowl. Using cookie scoop, or spoon, drop balls of dough into powdered sugar and roll around to cover. Add more powdered sugar, as necessary.
- Place about 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then place on cooling rack to finish cooling. enjoy!
