Mini Apple Pies

I had a few Lodi apples left after I made apple crisp, so I decided to make some mini apples pies. Plus, I just wanted to use this decorative top crust cutter that I found in the orchard store. You could also use your favorite baking apples, such as Granny Smith, Jonathans, or Honeycrisp – or a combination of apples.

A little pie filled with so much flavor! How could it not be delicious? A mini pie filled with apples and sugar, then seasoned with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Then I sprinkled a bit of course sugar on top – I always like a little crunch! Enjoy!

The original recipe was for hand pies -which would also be fun to make. There are also variations fillings included. These would be great to make in the fall, make fun on-the-go snacks. The recipe for the crust and filling are in the link below:
