Pie of any variety is good to me – and I especially like these bite-sized apple pies. I like how quickly they can be prepared and baked. I make my own pie crust (I’ll share that recipe in a later post), but purchased refrigerated pie crusts can be used to save time.

I love using my wooded cutting board to roll out pie crusts, cookie dough, noodles and rolls. I have such fond memories of “helping’ my Grandma cut homemade noodles on her wooded cutting board that slid out from her kitchen cabinet. Our first home had the same style, so now I have one just like she used and it always makes me feel happy when I use it.

Bite-Sized Apple Pies
Ingredients
- 1 9″ pie crust (Refrigerated or make your own)
- 1 tart apple, like Jonathon or Granny Smith
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Roll the pie crust into a 9″ circle and cut into 8 wedge-shaped pieces. Place melted butter in a small bowl. Mix sugar and cinnamon together in another small bowl.
- Core and peel the apple and cut into 8 pieces. Roll each apple piece in the melted butter and then the cinnamon-sugar mixture and place on a cut wedge piece of the pie crust, toward the outer edge.
- Roll the crust towards the point of the wedge, dip in melted butter and sugar-cinnamon mixture and place on foil-lined or parchment lined baking sheet. Continue with all apple pieces and pie crust wedges.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
- Top with whipped cream or ice cream – delicious!
