The holiday countdown has begun! It does seem like Christmas decorations in our neighborhood went up early this year – maybe we are all just so anxious for our families to get together again. I love making the house look and smell like Christmas – once I get allllll the boxes out of storage. So many memories come flooding through my mind as I unpack each box.
And as much as I enjoy the traditional decorations, I also love adding some new ones. These sparkly snowy dancing ballerinas were just too cute – and the moose with the fur – on my! I just “had” to buy them!
These reminded me of all the dance recitals the kids were in when they were small. How fun that was! Gathering costumes, constant dancing and music in the living room as they practiced, and the pride of finally getting the routine just right. Ahhhh – loved it. (Although I admit – there were probably some stress there too)!
I think the preparations for the holidays are an important part of the season, deciding how you can make Christmas special for your family and those around you. Enjoy the process and have fun decorating!!!
