Fresh cucumbers are so good but take up a lot of space in a garden. I found this idea works very well.

I leave a larger base of about three to four feet and plant cucumbers on each side of the panel. An added bonus to the trellis is it’s much easier to see when the cucumbers are ripe. They will be hanging in clear view.

I often plant a cool season vegetable like broccoli, lettuce or spinach under the trellis. They are done by the time the cucumbers are ready.
